Talking Digital/Media/Education

MediaForum is looking forward to joining the good and the great of media researchers for the annual Irish Media Research Network (IMRN) conference 2008.

We asked the nice people in the IMRN what they thought about the impact digital media is having and will have on media education in Ireland. Lots of thinking and talking, some questioning and querying, and more thinking and talking ensued until it was suggested we could do it proper-style in Maynooth at the start of their conference in September.

So, here’s what we’ve got:

  • TOPIC Culture, Commerce or Citizenship: How will digital media’s greatest impact influence how we teach it?
  • VENUE NUI Maynooth (Room CS2 Callan Building, North Campus, Maynooth, Co. Kildare).
  • TIME 10.00 - 11.30 (morning)
  • DATE FRI.19.SEP.2008
  • ITEM Panel Discussion (download the information here)
